The MWell Room Dialogues

In the world over, and Africa in general, issues of mental health and mind wellness are not always met with the seriousness they deserve.

This leaves many of us feeling stranded with seemingly no one to speak to, understand us or answer our questions.

It is for this reason, we have put together #TheMWellRoomDialogues to create a safe space to discuss issues around mind wellness in the African context.

Join us for this free virtual events where we will have open dialogue with a panel of clinical psychologists and psychotherapists to give us their expert views of Mind Wellness and how we can normalize it in the African Context.

As many people try to adjust to the wake of COVID 19’s negative impact on day-to-day lifestyles and routines, the desire to address emotional wellbeing has never been so important.  The media shows how the world seeks to be more connected with a source of relief for the day-to-day pressures that

directly affect physical and mental health for some people. Breaking mental health stigma in Africa is key. This Stigma is shrouded by culture, traditions, beliefs, and societal values, that have pushed society to maintain a tight-lipped attitude towards mind health.

This approach has led to a decrease in productivity, employee morale, and general desire to produce excellent work, but how do we create a general sense of awareness within our community to fight the battle of the mind and quench our combined mental thirst?

The MWell Project has generated awareness by creating a social media campaign that communicates how mind-wellness is for everyone. Each week, we took a dive deep into one of the following challenges that come with mind wellness:

  • The mental health stigma
  • Burnout
  • Depression
  • Therapy as a solution

The ever-growing MWell community has called for dialogue with leading experts in mind wellness to discuss this important subject and its impact on better lives for all.

MWell invites you to join us in the MWELL ROOM DIALOGUES,  and engage with a diverse audience of everyday people from Zambia, Rwanda, and other parts of Africa, who will meet Therapy and Counselling experts, and ask those burning questions about mind health, wellness, and how to make it a lifestyle choice for you.
